Known as one of the best dive destination in the world, Bonaire offers way more than beautiful coral reefs. With 20.000 inhabitants, Bonaire is not very populated and this is what it gives its character. Nature and a beautiful solitude that the island of Bonaire embodies is key to what most people experience. The local people are friendly and life on the island has a wonderful slow pace, unlike the rest of the world.

I shall return is the title of the first video by Jan Wachtmeester and Jan Lokhorst in the We Share Bonaire project and it’s also the cry of a man that longs to return to Bonaire. An island of such unique beauty and diversity that it leaves a little mark on the heart of every visitor; a wish to one day return. For there is no other island like it. A feeling we have tried to portray in this short movie by showing Bonaire from a perspective most have never seen, and areas many have never visited.
